Eye Healing

Everyone knows that when it rains it seems to pour. I have had countless people tell me that and it makes me wonder when satan attacks... does he hold anything back? Does he try to throw everything every time? This is a testimony from a friend named Nykkytta.

"This week has been difficult for us. Everyone in my family (6 total) has been battling some form of sickness. By Wednesday I was exhausted and by Thursday I was miserable. I had spent several nights up and down with my newborn and the lack of sleep caused a pinch in my back which in turn caused vision issues with my left eye. When it rains it pours.

I had talked to God about it but not like I should have. I then decided to take a hot shower to see if it would help me. After about 25 minutes of hot water, I got out, just as miserable as when I got in. At this point, I seemed to have run out of options. I sat down and just began speaking the truth over my body. I began declaring who He was and who He says I am and then I demanded that the pain in my eye be gone in His name.

I wish I could explain what happened next. I could feel the pain draw back out of my eye!!! It didn't just disappear... I could literally feel it being pulled out... I can't explain it. It was the most powerful experience I have had in a long time. I was healed! I am healed! I have not had any pain since. My shoulder was still tight and my husband did try and adjust my back for relief there... but I am sharing this because I felt obligated to share what God has done for me. I know stress and exhaustion were causing the pain and I know that meds probably would have done something but not in the way I experienced comfort. God is so good. I told my husband and he looked at me as if I was silly. I can't explain it any better other than, I was hurting and now I am free! Praise Jesus!"

God's heart for healing does not change from person to person or from family to family. God's Word doesn't change either. God is not waiting on you to fill up your "faith tank" before He is willing to use you. God wants to speak to you now. Right in this moment, He always wants us well, wants us to experience life abundantly, and wants to give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37). Don't be distracted by pain, but fix your eyes on Jesus Christ, and He will take care of you.

"Run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith." Hebrews 12:1-2
