Fever Healing

2/20/21 Fever (Caroline)

This healing is especially close to my heart because it was with my four year old daughter, Caroline. Ever since she was a baby, she had always fevered extremely high. In fact, at one point when Caroline was two years old she suffered a fever of 107 degrees!

On this day, Caroline spiked a fever of 103 and it was continuing to climb. My wife, Erin, and I decided to do everything we could in order to stop this before it got even worse. We were alternating children’s tylenol and motrin in order to help cool her down. We also gave her a cool bath and covered her in essential oils. Despite our efforts, the fever stayed at 103. You can probably imagine how a four year old with a fever of 103 is… super cranky. Erin and I finally reached a breaking point, so we turned on worship music, walked around our house, and began to worship. I remember carrying Caroline and just singing praises as we walked laps around our house. Over the next few hours we were standing in faith and believing for her healing.

Eventually, we decided to turn the music off and just sit, relax, and watch a show with our kids. Within the next hour, Caroline started to slowly gain her energy. We didn’t check her temperature; we didn’t want another sign of the flesh winning. We were choosing to believe in the unseen! We just continued to meditate on the Word and truth and simply trust that healing was coming.

As the day went on, her fever completely left! It didn’t linger, didn’t fluctuate, and didn’t return. Erin and I believe this was God who quickened our faith to believe in healing from the fever. She was healed!
