Is It God's Will To Heal?

You may have heard of this healing thing some Christians believe in. You may believe it yourself! Or you may be skeptical of this stuff; maybe not sure if it’s truly God’s will to heal every time.

I’d like to show you biblical insight into this topic. So it is God’s will to heal?

Let’s look at the story of Jesus cleansing the leper in Mark 1:40-42.

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

What did the leper say to Jesus? He said, “IF you are willing, You CAN make me clean.” The leper knew Jesus’ ability to heal and he believed Jesus could do it, but the question he had was “are you willing to heal me?”

How does Jesus respond? He responds with compassion and says, “I am willing.”

Here is amazing proof and insight into the will of God on this topic! God is willing to heal. It IS God’s will to heal. Have you ever asked in prayer, “God, if it’s your will, please heal this person…”? But what we need to realize is, yes! It is God’s will to heal! He said so in Mark 1:41!

What would happen if we changed our prayers from “God, if it’s your will to heal this person…” to “God, I know it’s your will to heal! In Jesus’ name, be healed!”

God is good and He is moved with compassion for you. He has stretched out His hand to you when He sent Jesus to redeem you of your sins. Your sins are wiped away and so are all punishments caused by sin… including sickness! Not only is it His will to heal you, but He’s already done it when He died on that cross! Thank you Jesus!

That passage shows that Jesus was willing to heal in that situation. It doesn’t mean that God‘s will is always supernatural healing in every situation.

Holy bible detail

Do you know if you are going to Heaven when you die?

The Bible says in Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved!  It really is that simple. Putting your trust and faith in Jesus will allow you to experience peace on what will happen once you are gone.
